Microsoft Copilot Training
for Legal Teams,
Live Online.
Bottom line: live online Microsoft Copilot training for legal teams, a 2-hour hands-on Team Workshop for in-house counsel and law firms across Europe, from €1,820. It covers contract review, drafting and summarising, as a drafting aid, not legal advice, and it changes nothing about how your firm handles confidentiality or privilege (that stays your own policy, not mine).
Most pages like this one never say the 2 things a lawyer in the room actually wants to hear: I am not selling you legal advice, and I cannot promise what happens to a privileged document once it goes into Copilot. So I say both, plainly, up front.
Copilot training for legal teams, live online
I'm Eyal Marcus, AI consultant and trainer, 264 AI sessions across 112 organisations. Legal teams ask the same question everyone else asks about Copilot: does it do anything useful, or is it a licence sitting on a shelf?
For a legal team the answer needs the 2 lines above attached every time, which is why they open this page instead of a features list. This sits alongside the wider European offer for other departments and countries. This page is the legal-specific version.
Can Microsoft Copilot be used for contract review and drafting at a law firm or in-house legal team?
Yes, as a drafting and research aid: reviewing contract language, drafting a first pass, and summarising documents, taught live online for in-house legal teams and law firms across Europe.
What the workshop covers: contract review, drafting, summarising
Three things: reviewing contract language, drafting a first pass, and turning a long file into something a busy partner will actually read. Two hours, up to 20 people, realistic example tasks, not a scenario built around a client I invented for the slide.
01Reviewing contract language
Checking a clause (say a confidentiality or termination clause) against your own standard template and flagging where it drifts.
02Drafting a first pass
Turning a plain description of a deal or a policy into a first draft you then edit yourself, not a finished document anyone signs.
03Summarising a long document
Pulling the 2 or 3 points that matter out of a due diligence file or a lengthy contract nobody has time to read start to finish.
Not legal advice, and confidentiality stays your policy
This is the part of the page a lawyer reads most carefully, so it gets its own section rather than a line at the bottom. Copilot is still, underneath everything, a drafting tool. It does not replace a qualified lawyer's judgment, and this training says so directly rather than implying otherwise with a slide full of confident feature names.
Confidential and privileged material handled through Copilot stays subject to your own firm's confidentiality, conflicts and data handling policies, not mine. For how confidential and personal data are handled at the tenant level, that's a separate, deeper page worth reading before this goes past the workshop itself.
Europe spans many distinct legal professions and bar rules (England and Wales, Ireland, Germany, France, the Netherlands, and more), and this training stays general across all of them rather than asserting any one jurisdiction's ethics rules. Your bar's own guidance on AI-assisted drafting is a conversation for your compliance function, not a claim I'll make on a workshop page. For the regulation side, there's a separate page on Copilot training and the EU AI Act.
Pricing and format
Last updated September 2026. This legal Team Workshop (for law firms and in-house legal teams alike) runs from €1,820 up to €2,730 depending on group size, live online, 2 hours, hands-on, up to 20 people. The Executive Briefing, Lunch and Learn, Second Wave and Champions formats are also available. See the full ladder of formats for pricing on each.
Leave your details below and I will call you back to talk through which documents to prepare, with anything sensitive stripped out first.
Who this is for
In-house counsel, a legal operations lead or a law firm partner: anyone on Microsoft 365 whose job runs through contracts and documents (not someone who opens Word twice a month). Works whether the team sits in one country or spreads across a European group.
If HR or finance wants the same kind of session, there's the same hands-on format for other departments, built around recruiting and policy documents, and a version for finance teams built around Excel. A leadership team that wants its own session first has a leadership-framed session instead.
No commercial interest in Microsoft
I've run 264 AI sessions across 112 organisations, including Intel, Amdocs, Sapiens, Rapyd and EY, and I have no commercial relationship with Microsoft. Nobody pays me to recommend Copilot over any other tool, and I'd say so if they did.
Frequently asked questions
Does this training constitute legal advice?
No. Copilot output on contract review, drafting or summarising must be verified by a qualified lawyer before use. It is a drafting and research aid, not legal advice or a substitute for professional judgment.
How is confidential or privileged material handled during the workshop?
Confidential and privileged material handled through Copilot stays subject to your firm's own confidentiality, conflicts and data handling policies. This training does not itself create or guarantee any specific confidentiality protection.
What is included in the legal-specific Team Workshop?
A 2-hour, hands-on Copilot workshop for lawyers and legal operations staff, up to 20 people, covering contract review, drafting and summarising, using realistic example tasks rather than invented client scenarios.
Can we book the Executive Briefing or Second Wave format instead?
Yes. This page leads with the Team Workshop because it fits a legal team learning Copilot on real documents, but the Executive Briefing, Lunch and Learn, Second Wave and Champions formats are all available too.
Do you have a commercial relationship with Microsoft?
No. I have no commercial interest in Microsoft and no financial stake in recommending Copilot over any other tool.
Is this training specific to one jurisdiction's bar rules?
No, it's general. Europe spans many distinct legal professions and bar rules, and this training is built for legal teams and law firms across Europe rather than one jurisdiction's ethics rules.
Bring your own documents. We will start there.
